Efficient in your tower,
connected across skies
's mission is to lead smaller aerodromes towards a smarter management of local traffic through an efficient electronic flight strips (EFS) system.
Safety. Efficiency. Simplicity.
What is airflow?
Airflow is a modern Electronic Flight Strip Management System (EFS) designed for small aerodromes, flight schools, and private aviation clubs. Built with simplicity and reliability in mind, it replaces paper strips with a digital, collaborative platform that enhances safety, efficiency, and coordination inside the tower.
Why airflow?
Managing traffic at smaller airfields often relies on manual processes that are prone to error, duplication, and information loss. Airflow streamlines these tasks by keeping everything organized, accessible, and secure in real time. Whether you are coordinating training flights, local traffic, or club activities, Airflow ensures that each traffic is tracked efficiently, reducing mistakes and delays.

Our Strip Concept
An Electronic Flight Strip (EFS) is a collection of valuable information regarding a specific flight. Think of it as the “founding unit” of an EFS System. Its purpose is to reflect with precision the status, the intentions and the needs of a particular traffic.
Design
The minimalist and clean layout enhances operational clarity and avoids clutter. The design is highly customizable to adapt to your specific needs.
Dynamic
EFS are dynamic elements going through a lifecycle. They can be created, updated, moved, trashed and restored across the main sectors of the interface.
Real-World Inspired
Our EFS are insipred by strips used in real ATC environments. They are managed exactly as you would do with original paper strips.
airlink: connecting the skies
Airflow enables any aerodrome to share traffic information easily and quickly over the entire network of users. This is made possible thanks to the airlink protocol: an ad-hoc communication system to share flight strips and traffic information across airports and operators.
As Airflow adoption grows, the AirLink Network will evolve into a game-changing system for networks of non-ATS aerodromes, boosting safety and efficiency across entire regions.
Automation: at the operator's will
Airflow is designed to minimize operator input. Advanced automations and connections provide the operator with the latest data available, and allow to autofill numerous fields and even pre-fill flight strips before creation. In other words: time-saving.
High Refresh Rate
All the critical Weather and Operational information is refreshed several time per second, and redundant by nature.
Auto-Saving and Logging
All the actions performed by the operator are logged and saved for subsequent analysis. No need to worry about power shortages or wi-fi interruptions: each session is saved every time a change occurs, so no data is lost.
Booking Calendar Sync
Automations are particularly valuable for organizations with an online booking calendar. Airflow is perfectly capable of fetching its data to pre-compile strips, saving time and reducing errors.

The People
Hello, I’m Simone, Airflow's inventor and developer. I am an Italian Pilot and Radio Operator at Aeroclub Varese since 5 years, and I'm passionated about coding.

I developed airflow with the purpose of improving air traffic management in my airport, since we were using a very old Excel-based file to carry out the work. Airflow turned out as an incredibly efficient solution for my tower, and my colleagues appreciate it very much.
The Place
The first organization which adopted airflow is Aeroclub Varese, a flight school and club operating on the Varese-Venegono airfield, which adopted it in May 2025.

This high-traffic environment, situated in northern Italy, has been a perfect testing site for airflow, from which the software benefited several improvements and features. Airflow is now the standard for operations carried out by the Aeroclub’s Biga (Venegono Radio unit)
The Project
Airflow is a young project, but it’s driven by strong principles: (I) Safety and (II) Efficiency. With an ever increasing number of organizations adopting airflow (and the AirLink Protocol), we could build an extremely efficient network of traffic information across non-ATS airports.

By subscribing a plan with airflow, you are not only improving traffic management in your airport: you are contributing to make our skies more connected and safer, even in non-ATS environment. Check out the stages of the development below.
